Notes:

Birth year known - see birth records. 1-6-2011 - checked records at Lewes Records Office for Union Workhouse in Ticehurst. Emma was admitted on Monday 15th August, between dinner and supper, along with her aunt, down as Naomi Celia Jeffery, both suffering with diphtheria. The aunt's husband was noted as being Jeffery, attendant at the establishment. Emma was down as having been born in 1890, and the aunt in 1874. They were both admitted from the Ticehurst parish, by the order of 2 overseers, made 15-8-1898. Emma is noted in the workhouse death register as having died between dinner and supper, and it is noted that she was unable to travel, near confinement. Naomi left the workhouse on Monday 5th September, after breakfast, at her own request and with the permission of the M.D. The Ticehurst church burial register shows that Emma was buried on 24-8-1898. On looking at Ancestry.co.uk marriage records, Emma father George had a sister Naomi Priscilla, who married James Frederick Jeffery in Q2 1895 in the Tonbridge district.
