Birth date estimated.Christening details obtained from parish records transcripts held at East Sussex Records Office, Lewes.Her mother's death certificate shows that she died at Great Trodgers, Mayfield, and that her son-in-law, whose address that was, was present at the death. His name was William Thomas David Walter, and on checking marriage records, he had married Alice Bailey in 1896, and we now have them on the 1901 census as living at Argos Hill Farm, Rotherfield, at the time of that census.By the time of the 1911 census we have them living at Great Trodgers, Mayfield. William Walter was born 1859 at Rotherfield, and christened 8/5/1859 at St Denys Church, Rotherfield. They had a daughter Florence Alice born c 1900, died 11/2/1979 Argos Hill, Rotherfield. Alice nee Bailey's death may be registered Q1 1952 in Eastbourne, aged 83, and William's death in Q4 1942 in the Uckfield district.
