On 'findmypast' marriage records show that Ellen Ticehurst married Edward DAKIN in Tunbridge Wells in 1864 - registered April-June. There are many inaccuracies in census records etc, e.g. Deaton. Birth date obtained from birth certificate.8/2/2011 confirmed christening date/location at East Sussex Records Office, Lewes. Her parents were living in Five Ashes at the time. Ellen remarried at the age of 68, and William Terry was only 38. Her son Frederick and his wife were witnesses at this wedding. She was buried in the same grave in Pembury as her first husband, Edward Deacon, on 12th August 1935 according to the burial records held by the parish council there, and yet that is the date of death recorded on her death certificate.17/8/2011 looked at Lower Green Cemetery map at Pembury Parish Council, grave North Border 76, no registration number.Index card also stated Flat 68 North Side.
