Notes:

Date of birth taken from death registration summary, also from 1939 census. Evelyn married John Daniel Richards registered Q2 1936, and had sons John and Christopher. (Evelyns husband was a witness, and I believe gave Kathleen away, when she married Ernest in 1937, and is at the back on the left in the group wedding photo). Visit to Lewes Records Office 22/2/2011 found her christening record in the Groombridge St. Thomas baptism register - her father George was a labourer at the time. Vicar was Robert Fisher. The original photo of Evelyn with her sons was taken in a Croydon photography studio. John was born Q1 1940, and Christopher was born Q1 1944 both in the Bromley registration area. John and Christopher both live in South Croydon, and I am now in touch with them. The photo of Evelyn with Irene Wells was obtained from them - Irene was the aunt of Gerry Robson who Gill and I went to visit just before she turned 104.
