Notes:
Birth date estimated from 1881 census.Marriage details confirmed from parish records transcripts held at East Sussex Records Office, Lewes. These also showed her father Samuel to be a bricklayer.Visit to Lewes Records Office 5/10/2011 established burial details - abode Little Bainden Mayfield, died aged 78, Vicar H. J. Murdoch Kirby. The photo labelled Martha Richardson or Rhoda Bailey was annotated in the old family photo album as great-grandma Bailey or Richardson. The photographer, Alfred James West, was at 71 Tamworth Road, Croydon, the address on the photo, in the 1891 census, and pre 1890, there was someone else at that address running a different business. As Martha died in 1885, and Rhoda in 1893, I believe the photo must be of Rhoda.
