31/5/2012 - visit to Lewes Records Office - 3/3/1793 David Pratt, son of Richard and Hannah, christened at Rotherfield. (There was a 3d payment - most entries said either 3d or poor). Also confirmed his marriages. When he married Cordelia, they were both from Crowborough. I obtained a copy of his death certificate which had been loaded by somebody to ancestry.co.uk. The informant, Arthur Luther Verral, married Elizabeth Pratt Crittall Q1 1883, and in the 1891 census they are seen to be living in Cannon Place, Hailsham, next door to Tollgate Cottage, so this is where I believe David to have died.
