Notes:

Birth date estimated. Her mother was not married when Ann was born, but she later married Thomas Pettit. Her death certificate shows that she died at Great Trodgers, Mayfield, and that her son-in-law, whose address that was, was present at the death. His name was William Walter, and on checking marriage records, he had married Alice Bailey, and we now have them on the 1901 census as living at Argos Hill Farm, Rotherfield, at the time of that census. On visit to Lewes Records Office 20/9/2011, found that she was buried on 18/11/1907 at St. Dunstans Parish Church in Mayfield, entry number 512 in the burial register, aged 70 years, by John Frances. The original photo was taken at a photography studio at 81 High Street Tunbridge Wells.
