10/01/2012 Marriage details obtained at Lewes Records Office.Visit to Lewes Records Office checked Chiddingly baptisms - could not see any Deacons there from 1666-1700. Could not see him or any other Deacons baptised in Laughton, as was his wife Dorothy(checked back as far as 1674). Visit to new East Sussex Records Office 3/12/2013, examined PAR372/6/1/1, Flyleaf entitled 'The Tythe Book of Heathfield containing the Names of the several Farms Occupiers and Landlords' Names together with the yearly Rent and the Value of the Vicarage Tythe at the rate of one shilling in the Pound, as it was taken by me in Michaelmass Term 1716. George Jordan Vicar.On page 29, it stated George Deacon useth a little farm belonging to the widow Page. Pays rent 4s Ann. pays tythe 3s Ann. Received for 2 years ending Michelmas 1715 6 shillings. On 17 July 1719, received by Mr Watkins for two years tythe ending at Michelmas 1717 6 shillings. On 22 February 1720, received by ? for three years tythe ending at Michelmas 1720 9 shillings. On 5 January 1721 Received by ? for one years tythe ending at Michelmas 1721 3 shillings. Visit to Lewes Records Office 31/10/2014 found burial entry in Waldron original register for George Deacon. There were no other records.
