Notes:

6/9/2011 Lewes Records Office - confirmed christening/dob dates and his parents, also marriage details. I believe that James emigrated to the U.S. at the same time as his son David, in 1876. At the time of the US 1880 census, James was living next door to his son David on his own, a farmer aged 68. A contact I have made through ancestry.co.uk, who is a descendent of David Streeter, told me %22James Streeter migrated to Shiawassee County, Michigan, as did his son David. James passed away at the home of David and his wife in Estey and is buried in the Rhodes cemetery. David Streeter married Hannah Charlotte Heasman in Tunbridge Wells and they came to Shiawassee County, Michigan, where their children were born. He was a farmer, and blacksmith, and owned and operated a sawmill in Estey along with his sons. He bought an entire section of land when he moved to Estey.%22
