Notes:
Lewes Records Office 9/8/2011 microfilm of Rotherfield baptisms, showed that she was the daughter of James and Sarah of Pinehurst, and that her father was a labourer. Date of birth estimated from christening date. 1901 census, living at 1 Albert Street, Tunbridge Wells, with her son Alfred, and a lodger. She died in the workhouse, but her informant on her death certificate was J. F. Figgett, her son-in-law, who was married to her daughter Ellen, born 1875. The Tonbridge workhouse, was where the new Pembury Hospital is now. 15/05/2012 visit to Maidstone Records Office, to view the workhouse records. Sarah was admitted on 24/02/1902 from the Tunbridge Wells parish, and her next meal after admission was supper, so she was admitted in the afternoon.
