11/2/2012 - visit to Lewes Records Office confirmed marriage to George Bailey, 27, a gardener living in Cowden. She was 24, a spinster, and living in Hartfield. Their fathers were Henry Bailey, a farmer, and Peter Avis, a labourer. He signed, she left her mark. It was after banns. The witnesses were William Avis, who left his mark, and Sarah Taylor(? difficult to read). One of their children was Sarah Ann Hannah Bailey, born 1865 in Cowden, and died 1940 in the Sevenoaks district. She married Thomas Frederick Boakes 18/4/1885 n Cowden.
