Details of christening of Philadelphia taken from parish record books on visit to Lewes Records Office 30/03/2011.On visit to Lewes Records Office 20/9/2011, found that she was buried on 5/11/1816 at St. Dunstans Parish Church in Mayfield, aged 78 years, by Robert Green, curate of Rotherfield. William and Ann are thought to have had the following children, in addition to Philadelphia. Mary, baptised 19-10-1761 Mayfield, married Roger Gammon 17-01-1791 in Mayfield, buried 17-07-1835 in Maresfield, several children. Sarah, baptised 19-01-1764 in Mayfield. William baptised 4-2-1770 and buried 7-2-1770 in Mayfield. Anne baptised 21-4-1771 in Mayfield, married John Page 21-6-1789 in Mayfield, died 28-9-1850. William baptised 20-2-1778 in Mayfield, married Ruth Harmer 5-6-1797 in Mayfield, buried 7-3-1811 in Mayfield, several children. John born in 1779. Anns parents are thought to have been Richard Hesman, born 1704, and Mary Gower, born 1708, who married in Mayfield 28-04-1730.
