Christening details obtained at Maidstone Records Office 15/02/2011.It was a private baptism.Within those records there was a christening of the following children to parents Charles Walter and Elizabeth Deacon - on 28/8/1910, Charles Walter Deacon, father a labourer, the vicar H. Sinclair Brooke, and they were living 5 Canterbury Road, Pembury. On 4/6/1922, Thomas George, Robert John, and Joyce May were baptised, their father was a farm labourer, the vicar was Arthur Owen, and they were living at Mays Farm Cottages, Pembury. A family tree on ancestry.co.uk shows that Charles married Elizabeth Kerwin, and that there was a child - Alice J Deacon, who lived 1923 - 2010. It also shows one other child, unnamed, still living. I have found the marriage to Elizabeth Kerwin registered Q1 1910 in the Tonbridge district. I believe that Alice J Deacon married John Campbell in Q1 1945 in the Chatham district, as Joan Alice Deacon, and see attached obituary from when she died in 2010. I believe the unnamed child still living is Reginald S Deacon, born Q2 1928 in the Tonbridge district, and that he is on the electoral roll for Tunbridge Wells in TN2. He would be Ernest's cousin.
