Birth date and christening date taken from theweald.org.Alice married Frederick Peat in 1899 in Tonbridge, and her mother Harriet died at her address in September 1928. This was 1 Summer Cottages, Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells. Alice is believed to have died Q3 1946 in the Tonbridge district, aged 68.The photo of Alice on her own was obtained through ancestry.co.uk, and had been loaded up by her granddaughter Lin Baldock. The photo of her mother, Harriet Avis nee Taylor, with Alice, was among the photos in the old Avis family album, but I had been unsure which of mums aunts was the one with her. I had suspected it was Alice as Harriet had died while living at her house in Rusthall. When I saw the photo of Alice on her own it confirmed that it was a photo of Harriett and Alice. Lin has told me that Alice is buried in the same cemetery in Rusthall that Harriett is buried in.
